These devices are custom fitted by dentists with special expertise and training in treating sleep apnea. They fit in the mouth, similar to a retainer or mouth guard. They open your airway by moving your lower jaw and tongue forward while you sleep. They are small, comfortable and effective.
Insurance / Payment Options

Most medical insurance plans cover oral appliance therapy for treating sleep apnea. Our experienced team will contact your medical insurance carrier on your behalf, gather information about your plan, and then help you understand your coverage. Should you choose to move forward with treatment, we will work with your insurance company to help you obtain the maximum insurance benefits possible.

For any out of pocket costs associated with your oral appliance therapy we offer flexible financing options including low or no interest payment plans. We will clearly explain all of your options and work with you to customize a payment plan that best fits your needs.

With over 30 years of providing excellent, patient-centered comprehensive dentistry,Dr. Deborah Buzzard has expanded her practice to provide long-term solutions to her patients who live with Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Dr. Buzzard has always believed in the importance of whole-body health and has dedicated the last several years to expand her knowledge of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and the importance it plays in the overall health of her patients. She works closely with local sleep doctors to achieve optimal results and health for every patient. Dr. Buzzard is honored that her patients allow her to partner in their overall health and cannot wait to meet you.

Austin M. Smith, DDS

Dr. Austin M. Smith graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2022 and has a bachelor’s degree in Health and Disease from Purdue University. Prior to enrolling in dental school, Dr. Smith assisted Dr. Buzzard and Dr. McIntyre from 2016-2018. He is excited to work alongside his mentor with the compassion he learned from his paternal grandfather, who was also a dentist.
